Client Case Study ClientInfoplex Ltd Distributor and developer of accounting software for SME businesses BriefPlanys was engaged by Infoplex via the Scottish Enterprise Commercial Breakthrough Service to support the company in planning and executing the launch of ‘OrderBooks’ a scaled down ERP solution for SME businesses that the company had developed.
Infoplex was a well established distributor and integrator of TAS software but had limited experience of launching it’s own products. The focus of the engagement was to support the planning and execution of the product launch. Planys ServicesBusiness Diagnostics – identified the path to commericalisation, risk factors and key tactics Partnership Deal Shaping & Negotiations – secured partnership and collaboration of the key third party software providers Proposition Development – developed the core proposition, commercial model and positioning statements Sales & Marketing Collateral Development – briefing and engagement of communications, PR and Design agencies. Market Verification & Commercial Launch Support – test marketing and full commercial launch of ‘OrderBooks’
Outcome‘OrderBooks’ for TAS was successfully launched in November 2008 with mass exposure to TAS users and SME businesses. Infopolex has seen a fantastic response to the product and has built a substantial sales pipeline through regular and meaningful communication with TAS users. The company is now planning developments which will extend the functionality of OrderBooks and provide support for the Sage and QuickBooks accounting software platforms and is actively positioning OrderBooks against full range ERP systems such as SAP. |
| "Between April 2008 and March 2009, 10 hi-tech Companies participated in the Commercial Breakthrough Service pilot project - a Scottish Enterprise service designed to help hi-tech companies to sell their products and associated services. Planys were one of two specialist suppliers selected to provide hands-on Marketing and Sales assistance. At the end of the pilot, the 10 Companies reported significant increases in sales revenue and improved Marketing and Sales capabilities, competencies and confidence of additional sales to this service. The average increase in sales was 260% of which Planys helping their 5 clients recognise around 50% of this revenue."
